Really enjoyed learning more about Lady of the Grapes, I didn’t realize the entire wine list was female producers! Delighted to hear none of the natural wines smell like feet 😆
I was amused by the way she phrased that at the time, and I had this moment where I was about to ask her to clarify, but then I decided that the remark was better if I just let it hang. My interpretation was faint praise, but I genuinely think it could go either way. And I love that someone noticed it. Thank you!
Yes, it just seemed like a bit of an understatement, given many of the best English sparklers have been winning competitions and blind tastings for years now.
I’ve not yet been to the new location but it’s on my list to visit next time I’m in the area.
We used to frequent the Covent Garden spot but the noise was deafening so eventually stopped. Went to the soft opening at London Bridge in June. All the best of luck!
