Working for an Asia HQ'd business, it is seen by colleagues as a good but quite a bit more expensive than home institution. Their Wok Hei adds the finishing touch
Gold Mine and Four Seasons are both very highly rated and have a historical rivalry. Colleagues from Singapore even go there because the quality of duck that they can get is seen to be vastly superior to that in Singapore (they prize the fattiness). Various Laksa places also get mentioned - Laxsa and LaksaMania. Singapulah seen as too overhyped and Old Chang Kee for curry puffs on Singapore National Day !
